Speeders official response to Ladle 36

I think we owe it to the majority of people here to properly explain and settle this situation properly and answer the accusations towards us and not make it out that we're ignoring peoples opinions like some are trying to claim. I believe the majority have been calm and have simply expressed their distaste to what we have done, but there has been a few that have tried their very best to slander us and keep dragging it on as much as possible. Just simply take a look at their new threads and posts. This has what has caused most of the problems and has in fact made things worse, in my opinion.

This thread is towards those that are being calm and respectful while either disagreeing with what we have done or letting it off, because they know we won't do it again. I respect that and for that reason I think we owe it to them to properly respond. Yes we do apologies for this.

SP and myself didn't expect this kind of a "shitstorm". We assumed that seeing as we opted to play IB it would seem that we are indeed not trying to switch sides for an easier bracket, but simply to get a chance to play IB. After all it is just one Ladle and winning a Ladle by getting the easier bracket isn't worth it to do something like this.

I even felt as if it was enough to forfeit after the game to show we didn't even care about winning. I obviously couldn't do that as my team was out to win. I preferred CT to win, but unfortunately they didn't bring their A game and messed up too many key rounds that they easily had.

Orion has nothing to do with this so please leave him out of it. He was just the captain of our team and due to the fact that we were missing a sweeper we chose him to be our second sweeper. I tried to contact Psyko before making this thread, but I believe we're on the same idea path to agree this is the right thing to do. Like he had said; I expressed this idea to him and he agreed, because he also wanted to play them badly.

This is the Ladle and it's a competitive tournament. On many occasions I tried to get some of these rules added so no team could ever use it. Last ladle (35) it ended up being used against me (us) so I felt that the gates were open to be free of all tactics - dirty or smart - as long as they were 'legal'. What team did I do it against? That exact team that did it to us. They are a team that is flexible in their members, but we are a clan that is flexible in our own ways. It might seem like it wasn't a big deal to you that they were using anonymous names, but to me it was a clear advantage not just to my team, but the whole Ladle.

I hope this settles this and if people feel SP or myself shouldn't participate in the next Ladle then we or I won't and there won't be very hard feelings. But if I get banned then I feel I've massively damaged my reputation to be at a level that is not worth of participating ever again. If I am labeled as being banned previously or a trouble maker. I am calm and not in aggressive mood to counter-attack people that have made comments or remarks now so this is me being me and expressing my true thoughts.

I, for one (although I did not participate in this ladle), think this is legit. You guys have said sorry numerous, numerous times in all these confusing threads, and every time you sound sincere. I trust that you won't do it again; I think individual people who will grudge against you now and in the future is sufficient punishment, and the community should just move on and set rules so as to make sure this doesn't happen in the future.

Well I personally didn't play that final, but I think I know my mates pretty well when I say if you just let us win this thing we wouldn't have accepted, and even if we actually won and you didn't give your best in the game it would lack of value. You won, we _don't_ want to be claimed as winners losing against you. We want this to be clear. We have FUN playing ladles (some just forgot what fun means). We have fun winning ladles but also knowing that we beat the strogest teams around.


So.......... congratulations again and let's just let it go. At least fom me, and most of my mates, things are cool.



PS: next time think a lil more before taking the revenge. There was other way to win IB. It was beating tx and ct and reach finals, and they would probably too. Yeah that way is longer, but it's how it's supposed to work.

Yea you guys may be content making it to the finals, but how about all of us who are still trying to win our first ladle, and have to deal with this shit? Mm, yeah. They had to play us to move to the finals, and we had some close matches. You didn't have to play either to move to the finals like you should have.

Sure they have to live with it, and maybe it will be imprinted own their conscience. But based upon some of their initial responses, it really irked me. And quite frankly, just about everyone (outside their own clan, and I guess yours). Sure they won, but that is not the point!!!!!!!!!! And I think the majority don't want drama, but they made their bed, Zap. By you guys, being so nonchalant about it, it is (sorry if I have to say this) making the matter a little bit more difficult. It almost seems like you guys are willing to let this slide.... and that isn't cool. If anything, as such a strong and influential clan in the fort world, you guys should be the one's taking the initiative. I truly believe that, and like I said I love you Zapper, but it's just not right this slides....
