Summer of CTF

I should start out by saying that this is a Tr2n hosted by Destiny, and that it probably has no place being here. If the board admins feel that it doesn't, then feel free to delete it. You should say though, that obviously tr2n and arma have A LOT in common, and that tr2n servers are even accessible via arma clients (durka knows how, and I'm pretty sure that the devs are working on a client if one hasn't been completed already). So maybe it is at least slightly arma-related.

Anyway, there are prelims this upcoming Saturday (June 19th) and on July 10th. The actual tourney will be on July 31st. Teams have 5 players and 1 sub. The most interesting component is that the winning team gets a $50 gift card (what to, I'm not 100% sure, but I think you may get to choose what to. If it's to some tr2n origins store...well then, I'm really really sorry for the winning team.)

I'm advertising this of course to anybody that's interested, but specifically I'd like to gauge the interest of the very good clan-less fort players (olive, newbie, madmax, etc.), as well as old ctfers that no longer play (I'm looking at you sine). I'm trying to make a team of good non-clan players. So far I have div interested (the \/\/_\//\__\/ guy) as well as Mac&Cheese. It would be really cool if some other people with skills joined it.

Anyway my rant is up. For those of you that are wondering, Dest didn't convince me to do this; I am doing this completely on my own out of love for CTF and what it used to be. I understand that probably very few of you, if any, will be interested, and I just hope that you withhold unnecessary criticism.

If you notice in that thread, I tried one of the first builds and I couldn't connect. Then I lost interest immediately and never tried the newer builds. But, I just downloaded the newest one and it's sitting on my desktop. Whether I install it or not depends on how interested I get in CTF again over the next few days.

Hmm. I'm not quite sure. I guess you could ask Destiny to get 5 or 6 different gift cards in whatever amount you specify. I'm not exactly sure.
