Install a moviepack on a Mac

Post by Apple »

I want to install a moviepack (Arena from this link} but I'm on a Mac, and the tutorial on that site only said how to install it on a Windows and Linux. How do I install it on a Mac?

Nevermind what I said, still doesn't work. The best I can do is replacing all the default images in the program files.

Try posting a screenshot of your Armagetron directory and maybe we can see your error. I trust you know how to take a screenshot, right?

There was no error. I followed all the instructions, but the movie pack isn't showing up.

Well obviously you made an error while "following instructions." Start over from the beginning.

Do I put it at "Apple/Library/Application Support/Armagetron Advanced" (yes, Apple is my computer name) or inside the app itself? And if I put it inside the app itself, where do I put it?

Either place should work. Remember, the image files and settings.cfg must go in a folder named "moviepack". If this folder does not exist, you must create it. If the file "settings.cfg" is missing, the moviepack will not work. The files cannot be loose in the Armagetron program folder. They must be in the moviepack folder.

:!: Remember to turn the moviepack on! You can do this through the menu "System Setup > Misc. Stuff > Moviepack:On" or by typing "moviepack 1" in your console (without quotes).

At this point if you still can't make it work, you probably don't have enough experience with computers to accomplish it. Please have a friend help you, or take a computer class at school.
