i'd play that regularly :)
and with 3v3
it should be easier to set up

still have to get used to the boost

have you thought about getting rid of wall acceleration?
and increase the base speed to eg 40?
hold the line

Yes and no. I've made several variations of TRON Experience over the past year. One version had very, very low wall acceleration and more emphasis on the brake-boost. The idea was you had to "drive" your cycle manually (corewar currently uses the driving idea in his incam server). But this proved to be kind of awkward, and a but unintuitive for most players. The current settings are the result of several hours of work between me and Phytotron. (Even just the other day we were tweaking the rubber, but at this point, all the changes I'm making as so subtle they are hardly noticeable.)

I'm reluctant to raise the speed for several reasons...(it was actually raised 5mps about 2 months ago.)

First, the cycle speed is relative to the camera turn speed and the turning radius. If I change the speed, I have to change the turn radius. If I change the turn radius, I'll probably have to adjust spawn_wingman_side (and maybe even the rubber). Second, if I raise the speed, then the size of the grid must change too since that is relative to the wall acceleration.

You see where I'm going with this? All the settings in that server are completely interconnected. Change one, change them all. Think of it as the Feng Shui of Arma or "server harmony."

I do want to make a version of TRON Experience with super-fast cycles and a massive grid, but that server will feel completely different than the current one, and I think the current one has a lot going for it right now. Like I mentioned above, corewar has a server that is similar to what I had in mind for alternate settings (except he does some pretty bizarre stuff).
