flex's ping did skewer the results slightly and made the eu pings look worse than they should have been
I'm wondering where the eu server was located; I had a perception that na pings would be higher than in the screenshots, eg. durka having a sub 200 ping
sounded like ggs anyway

Original purpose was to get the ball rolling, hoping for someone to pick it up..
Because I wanted to watch the best of EU fight the best of NA.

And even though the US server wasn't the best, and there was no recording nor stream (which sort of defeated the original purpose), I don't see how there's any harm done.. Anyone who wasn't having fun wasn't doing it right ;)

Also, with the tie, we'll obviously have to settle this with a rematch, don't you agree?

Would be nice if this became a (biquarterly, perchance?) tradition, and future administrators can learn from my mistakes. :D

Surely the best server location for a tie breaker (or just for every match) is an East Coast US server? Most euros have pings in the low 100's in TX (clan, not state :P) servers, same for West Coast US players. Only players with a real advantage would be Americans pretty close to server.

It would have been better if it was best of 3 matches on each server instead of first to 2. Allowing an extra 2 matches to be played in total. In the event of a draw (3-3) the highest total points could then decide where the final (single) match would be played.
Really? Look at the screenshots, you guys only had 3 people over 200 ping. 1 was you, but you have ping problems and the other is Gonzap who is from Spain and gets over 100 ping in a server 100 miles from his house. Spain's internet is old and shitty, so you should not take him into consideration, nor should you count yourself since you had ping problems. The other was newbie, fine. And I did often have over 200 ping, however, in the screenshots, it was at 185 and 187...but I'm not complaining.

Best of 3 means first team to 2 matches wins and then the third match isn't needed to play. I think you mean, "it would have been better if it was 3 matches on each server..."
