This has happened to me before, but after a recompile it usually goes away. Its annoying because all the connected clients will see it like this. How can I fix it?
note: running Mac OS X

I don't know how to fix it, but it's missing or not finding the language files. How do you run the server? If you directly run the executable, you have to run it from the installation directory. The various scripts should take care of that.
The language files are in the language subfolder there, the important ones are languages.txt and english.txt.
