well, when moderators step in it's usually a sign that it wasn't so obvious if you were joking or not.
and sometimes only one person thinks he's funny while his dialog partner feels offended.
"what do you expect from your moderators?" - do you expect them to know every little detail about the history between INW and you? From a distant viewpoint, the situation wasn't clear and the way the moderators solved it was OK.

What epsy said. And if everything you say is true, you were well aware of the fact you may attract moderator activity, one could even say you were actively provoking it. And after the thread was cleaned up, nobody, especially not INW, made any effort to clear the misunderstanding up. In short, you have nobody to blame but yourselves.

I usually don't like adding to any flame threads here, but I happened to run across this thread http://forums3.armagetronad.net/viewtop ... 0&start=15. You said luck was "toady and sycophant" both which not only mean the same thing, but both have nothing to do with Luck. If you could please tell me who he tries to please on these forums to win favor? I have never seen luck kiss anyone's ass. It only makes me think you don't really know the words you use. Anybody can go on Thesaurus.com and replace normal words with extravagant words. I may be wrong, but it just seems weird with someone with a "large" vocabulary like yours, to mess up on something like that. So maybe it is time you step off that high horse of yours?

Well, it looks like the vcl clan, or whatever your juvenile little web gang is, has decided that I'm their favorite target at the moment. So, any chance they get an opening, they take the opportunity to get off a shot. (This has been extended to in-game actions as well.) Are your lives so miserable and uninteresting that you three (and "Rajiin" and Liz, wherever they've gone to) can find nothing better or more creative to stimulate yourselves than to be, as I've come to refer to you, sadistic nuisances? Are you picked on, harassed, bullied at school, so you come home and want to take it out on people on the web? Or is it something else? What's the motivation and purpose? Seriously. I want to understand the pathology.

So, here goes Taz digging around in old topics for something with which to attempt to play "gotcha" (as Luck did previously). Of course, the very first clause of your post is dishonest, disingenuous, and hypocritical (and yes, those words do in fact have differences in meaning). Beyond that, toady and sycophant have subtle differences in connotation and meaning, as well. Toady has long and commonly been used to describe one who is the subordinate side-kick to a bully or bullies. A sycophant is not necessarily as such, and is typically used to refer generically to a kiss-up looking to curry favor with someone (in this instance, I definitely do not like curry). In his capacity as a clan stooge, Luck's behaviour has embodied both, hence my choice to include both. But, I don't expect your ilk to grasp linguistic or cognitive nuance, let alone reflect on your own attitudes and behaviour.
