the newer players on the servers are ignorant and blame their fail on stabs and digs . To them, if you do a "snug" trap or even get close to the wall then you "STAB, DIG, AHHHH!!" So, don't play in DF or HR servers unless theres older players in them

you obviously don't care about it and just want to talk about how the older ways are superior to the gametypes we have now

don't play hr or df unless theres a group of old players in the same server.... So, don't play in DF or HR servers unless theres older players in them ... they are a little bit smarter on terms than all the noobs that are infesting the df and hr servers)

And as Word's link implies, this particular thread isn't about open/df/loose/whatever. It's about those two ridiculous terms, their amorphous and nonuniform definitions and usage, and the unnecessary replacement of lingo already in existence.

Let me rephrase the question for an answer:

Q: Why is a bad thing to replace established terminology with new lingo, especially when it has amorphous and nonuniform definitions and usage?

A: If the answer isn't self-explanatory, this thread is a good example of why. As is the one I linked in the first post.

The fact that I spent about half an hour last night trying to decipher the comments of some player in Shrunkland, with no resolution (much like this thread), would also be a good example.

its obvious i wasn't questioning my self... dumb of you to try to turn that around but anyways i have to agree, new lingo is continuously being created. nothing bad about that. i'll quit posting here though, it solves nothing.
