Shouldn't this be limited to team votes? That is, teams get one vote each, in the thread?

Electoral vote vs popular vote? It's simple right now, you have a specific day you want the Lade to be, you vote.

Individual voting seems fine. Team voting could be used for a tie-breaker if 2 options are very close I guess.

I'm okay with individuals voting, but not by forum poll. A person can create multiple accounts and vote several times. The best way to acquire a consensus is by team voting, because that process seems most fair and it's worked out well so far. As it is, I don't view this forum poll as a valid result.

If that's the only way to get a fair vote, someone needs to organize a team vote.

Has that been a problem in the past? Is there no way to check who's voting?

I agree with dlh on this one, I don't think there would be a a different outcome if it were a team vote, but having an open vote is more fair and by teams makes it smaller to tally up.

As we discussed on this topic we were planning on having the quarterly voting this time. I supose someone could start that soon and we can use the teams that played last ladle for votes.

But i think we need to include timing of the event, the every other month or not question and approve this wiki change

The reason we are waiting is to find a chink in Sp's armor so a nobody team can re-create the upset of Ohio of Georgetown, Armagetron style.

This should be done by team vote, despite the overwhelming majority favoring the 11th.
I personally feel the tournament should not be held on Easter Sunday, so April 4th is out of the question. April 18th is too late, so that leaves April 11th, which is my vote.

There was an astronomical amount of tronners playing on new years eve, which is also a family get-together.

By the way, there is already a sumo tournament scheduled for the 18th of april.

Is there a reason why ladles are always held on Sundays, i.e., was there ever a poll? Sometimes it seems like if you just move it to, say, Saturday it'd work better.

Not that Saturdays would work better for me.

Wasn't the January ladle postponed because of the date?
