settings

Post by Tannermon11 »

I was trying to figure this out a while ago and then stopped. I am trying it again. For some reason when I run the server, once I go into the game, it has settings that I can't find in the files. Is there someway to find them or fix that?

I am able to connect to my server when I go to network game then LAN but can't see on internet. I already have port forward for a server for a different game. I don't know if running that server would affect running this one, since they would be on the same computer. And that is why I ask would I need to portforward for this armagetron server ? Also I don't know if this is suppose to happen but in the command box when I run it, it says

look in the setttings.cfg file in the settings directory. You will find the setting in question is set there by default.
Armagetron: It's a video game that people should just play and enjoy :)

The output looks perfectly normal to me. And yes, you need to set up port forwarding unless your server is connected to the internet directly.

when I go to 192.168.1.1 and go to port forwarding, for the protocol can you make it both (tcp and udp)
also even when I've done this and also allowed it through my security, it still isn't showing up on the internet server list

Yep, port 4534, but UDP alone is enough.
Edit: which server and client version are you running, what is your global IP and server name? Then we can check on your server from the outside.

I just told my friend to check and it's on the internet list for him. so I guess it just isn't appearing on there for me. But I can still go into my server through lan and play with the other people right?

Edit: just checked that the lan and as I expected it works so I'm able to get on with other people that way.
Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!
