Dunno. They're not looking very professional to me. Do I get their premise right? You spam their forums and get free hosting? How is that going to work? Sounds very 1999-ish to me. They're saying that unlimited plans are scams, get our unlimited plan?

This makes no sense, 2 16 year olds can some how afford to provide free hosting as long as you make a set amount of posts a month? Also after they go into why unlimited deals don't really exist they offer one for 7.50 a year, this just screams scam.

If you are not anticipating much demand or volume on your site, http://www.cs-squad.net/?id=hosting has a $2 a month plan that will probably work just fine.

Is this really the cheapest around? I wonder if dutch webhosting is really that cheap then :)
The same package with 2x the bandwidth is about $0,65 a month here

I honestly have not shopped for the absolute cheapest. I just noticed that my provider offers this service, and it is well reviewed by others.

Free is the cheapest...unless they pay you money to host your site :P.

I did a quick google of free web hosts. Check out this site that reviews and lists many of them.

Probably a bit late for this one but HostSo have some very good deals and have been very reliable for some friends of mine so it is well worth a look.

http://www.000webhost.com/ should easily cover all your needs and is very functional and relatively easy to use.

Hello,

As Leyton, one of the Admins at Host4Post, I would like to let you know that our plans are totally legit.

Now further to a few of the questions raised:

"This makes no sense, 2 16 year olds can some how afford to provide free hosting as long as you make a set amount of posts a month? Also after they go into why unlimited deals don't really exist they offer one for 7.50 a year, this just screams scam."

How you do this is simple. You work bloody hard making a paid host, you make that work with over 30 servers then you dedicate one to free hosting and work bloody hard at that as well.

As to the "Why Unlimited Deals don't exist" bit, we tell you that as to warn you. The plan may be titled unlimited, but we offer "Unmetered" disk space, as long as you comply with the few rules in our AUP.

I hope this helps clear up any questions you may have had about Host 4 Post, and if you want me to go into further detail, please reply, and I'll be glad to answer your queries.

Thanks,
Leyton Reed
On behalf of Host 4 Post.

Whether the site is legit or not was never the question; whether it will stay operational long enough to be worth using its services. And sorry, the fact that a search for your URI has our small forums here appears early enough to be noticed by the site admins to comment on personally is not the best sign that this is going to be a long running, stable service. Best of luck anyway, of course.

Thanks for your "luck". 123COM has been operating for nearly 4 years now, and will not be closing any time soon. And therefore that same can be said for Host 4 Post, for which I intend to run until it looses all interest, and hosting is no longer a business for anybody to work in.

The reason I take it upon myself to comment personally is so that you get anything answered directly without any crossover in information.

But thanks Anyway.
