You're a nitpick, aren't you? I don't know about others, but I didn't interpretate Psyko's post as something negative AT ALL.

You actually had more than 10 minutes to prepare for your match against us (TX) since you pretty much told SP 3 to forfeit so you would have fresh hands and be able to watch our match vs Nunchuk. At least, that's my theory.
apparition wrote:You kinda stepped on Durka's points about their situation with your description of how radical you guys were during the second and third matches. I don't think your wins vs TX were based on your adaptation to their methods. Their methods effin disappeared in the second and third matches! What were you adapting to? From the way people talked about it, they shut you guys out in the first round. And if they didn't have the problems they did in the second, it just makes sense that you would have had a more difficult time getting to the finals :) Unfortunately, all the excuses in the world don't change the fact that you guys beat TX and CT to get to the finals. That's no easy task.
Appa said it best. Yes you beat us and yes we're making (bad, yet true) excuses as to why we felt we lost, but that doesn't mean you can just completely overlook a HUGE factor that completely swung the moment to your side in the 2nd and 3rd matches, claiming that "[we] knew we just had to adapt and relax until they started hurting themselves because of the cluster rather than helping. After a little bit of calming down and relaxation, the next two matches were very one-sided." They were one-sided, but you're missing a key reason why.

BUT, NONETHELESS, YOU GUYS WON!

All I can say is watch out; we're gunnin for ya! 8)

Great ladle, was very close.

I will say it now, SP won't win the next ladle if they play the way they did yesterday. While other teams vastly improved from their play in ladle 30, we didn't.

For those with excuses, please know that you will never never never ever play under optimal conditions. If you plan to play to your potentials 100% every ladle, you are expecting too much as everyone has bad days, lag happens and other unforeseen factors. These things affect both teams. For example 2/3 of SP is euro, yet we played in TSP PA every match. They had to deal with the same server you did so please stop talking about it...

We are aware of the target on our backs and will be actively moving and improving I hope, next ladle will be a good one

We were kinda lucky against the Freelancers, Z-man's server was a mess which caused the deaths of many freelancers. 'Long range porn interference', best excuse ever Z-man :P

Yeah, adapting to those "lag bombs" was actually one of the hardest tasks in this ladle x) I realized pretty fast that you have to keep turning as game goes on in the server (but not on your screen) and I managed to stay alive all except one time.

In the last match of the finals, what appeared to be a "lag bomb" appeared on my screen. I was like "oh crap here we go again" and started mazing on my own (I was alone in midfield this time), and went on for like 2-3 minutes. It was like my brain wouldn't accept that my internet could fail during the finals.

Turns out it was an unannounced check/update of my ISP. First one in months. Great timing.

I only saw the last match of the finals, as it was 7 pm here and I was expecting it to be over, so i didn't see everyone else's tactics. From what i saw of the final match it looked like speeders were going to take it when they were 50 or so points ahead and NE's def rudy had 90% of NE's points. But it seemed NE got their shit together and started playing tighter with their sweeping and their attacking, I'd say stopping SP from getting more than 2 or so points per round shook them up enough that NE was able to make it so close, NE only needed 1 kill to win just as SP took their zone. The fact that it was such a comeback made it an awesome match to watch. Kudos to NE for coming back from such a disadvantage, and kudos to SP for pulling it together and not getting disheartened after losing such a good lead.

Also to elaborate on "Oblivion acting like an idiot" he was just constantly "singing" in spec chat, silenced i think 3 times by Z-man under 3 different names. It was a bit annoying and very unnecessary but that's what the silence feature is for. In any case it was at least limited to spec chat so no one playing was affected.
You've gone too far, turn back!

My first post opened banged out some thoughts and a few insults to Oblivion (obliging Flex) and then opened a discussion on the tactics used. However, your commentary on the other teams' tactics, whether you realize it or not, made you sound high and mighty, dude. The way you started your post was pretty awesome. So TX tried step defense with 3 sweeps, but huzzah and alas! they were no match for us! And CT tried this, but I guess I had to give them credit for not screwing themselves up... NE had a sweeping technique that held us back momentarily... Weak bro.

You did just win 3 ladles in a row and you deserve credit because that's effin crazy, but I didn't think that gives you the right to take credit away from the teams you played. I decided to give some back because they deserve it.
I wasn't talking about your first post, I was talking about your second one.

It probably doesn't mean anything to you, but that was not my intention at all. There is something called constructive criticism. Judging from CT and NE members responses after our match and on the forums, they agree with what I said.

And Tx's reaction is just hilarious.

Fine, our reaction might be priceless and hilarious, but you know that you would have a similar reaction if what happened to us, happened to you.
