Edited. I said a bunch of stuff to try and be funny, but it didn't make sense because I didn't read the post correctly.

heh... Thanx guys! I don't play much anymore because of problems I've been having with my hands recently. But once I get that straightened out, I'll be back full force. Till then, I'll just lurk around here. ;) lol

I had to start using a different key-binding because I developed joint problems in my right hand. I was able to adapt in spite of this. However, a similar thing is happening on my left hand now too. So, I don't know how much longer I'll be able to keep playing in this capacity.

:/ Stupid old age.

I hear that. I get pain in the carpometacarpal joint of my left thumb, running up to the metacarpophalangeal joint. For whatever reason, whenever I type or play this game (glances are on S-D-F), I keep my left thumb turned and pulled back and pointed upwards. I don't do this on the right. In fact, I arch back all my fingers and wrist (knuckles and back of hand pulled back) more on my left; whereas my right hand, fingers, and wrist are more relaxed. I also tend to have each arm at a different angle, with the left one tighter. On both sides I rest the base of my palm on the edge of the desk. I don't know why I do all this, but it's obviously poor typing ergonomics.

I only ever use my right thumb for the spacebar—that may be why I keep the thumb pulled back. But I can't seem to let the left thumb relax the way the right does, and hover without getting pulled back. It may also be related to playing guitar (proper positioning of the thumb is behind the neck, not wrapped over the top as is too-often seen). Sometimes when it gets to hurting but I want to continue, I'll actually wrap the thumb under the edge of the desk. I'm sure that's no good.

This is something I ought to be able to correct by rebehaviour, though it's such an ingrained habit. I'm also aware of certain exercises that can be done.

Jesus. *******. Christ. Phytotron.

No-one gives a shit.

On top of that, all you had to say was that you get joint pain in your hands, instead of going through this big explanation that everyone is too lazy to read.

I seriously doubt that you give a shit. You only say that to oppose me.

And... ?

Long walk? Since when does that relieve stress?

It's a common human trait to care for others, something you are obviously missing
