Team Sumo March 6, 6 pm EST in TR2NOrigins

This is where you sign up for the Team Sumo Tourney to be held in TR2N Origins Tourney Servers March 6, 6 pm EST. The tourney will be a double elimination bracket tourney with 2 teams per server. The winners of each server will move up in the bracket, while the losing teams move to the losers bracket. If we have a lot of teams sign up, we will stagger the first round into 2 waves. Matches will be played to 1200.
You can download the new TR2NOrigins client here. It has some unique new features, the 2 most notable of which are the ability to easily switch between moviepacks, and a greatly improved sound engine. The new client comes with 11 moviepacks preloaded, and you can add 25 more moviepacks. It is also easier to add the moviepacks.

I honestly don't know. Destiny planned this, and we really didn't discuss it. I think she may be trying to avoid a potential conflict with Armagetron Tourneys. As to the movie pack feature, being able to easily use certain moviepacks for certain servers has not only made things a lot more fun, but I play better!
Also, there is a new Top-down cam. It is similar to the server custom cam in shrunkland, and the cam that you are forced to use in Sine.wav's tron arcade. Also a lot of fun!

For those of you who find the rubber meter annoying, or just don't really have to use the TR2NOrigins client, you can download this experimental version of Armagetron that can access TR2NOrigins as a subculture. It seems to be pretty stable. The devs here are currently working on a fully stable version. So, give this one a try if you want to participate in the tourney! There are also some unique gameservers in TR2NOrigins, and more coming!

Thanks for pointing out the auth issue, Spook. Of course, to sign up for the tourney you will have to get a forum account on the TR2NOrigins forums. If anyone does decide to do this, the easiest way to authenticate will be to go to a TR2NOrigins server and type /login your_forum_user_name@stats.
I would also like to point out, that you do need to email verify your forum account before the authentication will work.
