Re: Existing trolls
No, Concord, my criticisms are not based on players leaving one game type for another, never have been. I realise Lucifer suggested otherwise in one of your archived irc chat things, but I got news for you: Lucifer doesn't speak for me. (And actually, rather than migrating, a lot of old players simply quit in response to each new "generation" or "iteration" of the game, and the new players who accompanied it.)
Re: Existing trolls
Heh, I actually vaguely remember a conversation like that, but I don't remember who it was with, I only remember that I was setting him up for something. It would be kinda silly if this is the end of a prank I started years ago and forgot about.

Re: Existing trolls
Hmm, as much as I like to argue once in a while, contrary to popular belief I'm not so childish as to seek such conversation, especially not on forums. Therefore my answer is yes, but on the off chance I ever have this amazing idea I'll probably tell you (luci) or epsy about it elsewhere, so all is not lost c:
"You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one;
I hope some day you will join us, and the world can live as one"
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
I believe that to truly love is the ultimate expression of the will to live.

Neither does he for me. Why do you assume my thoughts are his?Phytotron wrote:No, Concord, my criticisms are not based on players leaving one game type for another, never have been. And a lot of new ones have picked up the game and played new "iterations" or "generations." What's your point?(And actually, rather than migrating, a lot of old players simply quit in response to each new "generation" or "iteration" of the game, and the new players who accompanied it.)
Re: Existing trolls
Why would anyone not post a suggestion because of trolls? If it is a good suggestion, it will not get trolled (that much). Even if it does get trolled, your idea will still be read by everyone who cares to look at the topic.

Re: Existing trolls
I voted no because I could care less about what you trolls have to say. I am a sunny person.

Re: Existing trolls
I believe the term we're all looking for here is flaming not trolling.
Mind you, I could be wrong. It's rare, but it happens.

Re: Existing trolls
Maybe we should just go ahead and skip to Godwin's Law.
Re: Existing trolls
Yeah, that's what Hitler would have said.
Anyway, yeah, regarding shooting down new ideas in annoying ways, flaming would probably the better term. Personally, I don't care. Lack of new ideas is not a problem. Too many crazy ideas isn't a problem either, I just quietly ignore them. And the person a new idea needs to reach is the one willing to take the time to implement it, which isn't necessarily one of the registered developers.

Re: Existing trolls
this couldn't possibly be a problem, because none of the trolls in this forum are any good at it
Well...I did.
