sine+wav had me post this on the forums but for anyone who wants to go to an organized website for quick up to date ladle information, u can visit THIS WEBSITE.
The trick now is to offer something that the Wiki does not. There is A LOT of information in the current Wiki which should be included in your site. Then you have the task of keeping up the site over, well, the next several years at least. Are you up to the challenge?!
So let's talk about what your site can give us that the Wiki can't. One thing I thought would be neat would be player statistics and profiles. You know, who they played for, when, etc... The best would some sort of search-able database, or something. Is this something you are inclined to do?
Another nice addition to your website to support player stats would be for somebody like kyle or ed to make a stat script to extract the necessary data and process into a form that the website could present, after each ladle. With the right stat script, we could end up with Ladle players being analyzed to a similar complexity as baseball players!

is that in english? lol i get what u mean, that would be great, the not so great part would be analyzing the previous 27 ladles and getting info from there
the website system that i am using is basic and u cant search anything, just click links and scroll to find info, if we (if u would like to help) could use a different website system that can use a form of searching device, that would be cool.
i like the player stats / which ladles they played in idea, lets hope wiki doesnt see this XD
so far it only displays the ladle brackets from 27 and 28 ladles and team names (including player names) for ladles 28-25
hopefully through time i can get all the ladle info up there, and start a statistics tab for players...hopefully through the help of ed, kyle, sinewav, or of course z-man-----> for ladle scripts and such to get player stats (:
ill mainly be working on the teadious work of reviewing all the previous ladles and getting team names/players and editing tourney brackets, the player stats part will be the part where i will need the help of the above listed players for stats and such (:
maybe Mr. Compguygene could get in the mess a little...you know, get your hands a little dirty
I am going to work on a python script to parse the data coming from a sty+ct server that will generate a set of stats from the ladderlog file, process the data and store it in a mysql database another script could be customized to pull the data out of the mysql database and present it on a webpage. I would like to do something similar to what the CT clan has done here: http://crazy-tronners.com/ladders_new.php. A version of that could be customized for ladles, that would automatically only record stats that take place during "official" gameplay. Of course, this would do nothing for past ladles. But, you could do a lot of analysis on players and teams, if the right data is stored, in a standardized means. This could provide a way of really recording some history, that would let others in the future, process it in various ways.

that would be excellent if it is successful compguy
if it does end up to work, it would be great to use that data for my website......it would be cool if the information could go towards my website as an addition and not another link to wiki
the sole purpose of my website is to have a quick resourse for information of this nature instead of searching through the many pages wiki supplies.....this stats section would be a great addition that i hope wiki doesn't pick up on
The real hope is to get a stats script going for the community at large. For those who love to analyze stats in sports, it will be a source of fun and debate.
