Cannot connect to MasterServer with 0.2.8.3 version.

This is annoying when will it be fixed?

What is the problem with 2 master servers not working, does that mean that half the actual servers are playable, b/c i did notice that a few servers disappear like the forgotten warriors?

Did you try RC4?

Changes:
- Pinging previously popular servers earlier for quicker server browsing
- Improved master server random polling, the second polled master now also is random, and all masters are polled if need be

kk, i tried rc4 too, but i still get the bug not that often, but it is still annoying

I've removed the master server entries for #1 and #4 in C:\Programme\Armagetron Advanced\config\master.srv - Not a perfect solution, but it works...

sry but i am no pc genius rather a pc noob

Armagetron connects only to master servers from the master.srv file, so the removed master servers left out, that should not lead to any problems.

Soooo, if I need to upgrade to some newer client version (currently using 0.2.8.3 beta2) to be able to connect via any master server, I'd like some input that it's definitely necessary to do so. I always pray to heaven that it's not master 1 or 4 I'm connecting to, since if that's the case I have to wait until the program quits to restart and pray again.

The masters I'm running run trunk because there was that issue of it randomly crashing before.

The random (every ten minutes) crash we fixed the other day? Or something else? You know, because this is a bit worse than the server crashing and restarting

Yeah... was crashing with the odd packet-ness... I'd pull up the exact info but because my proper server's died and I'm running with the backup box I don't have it. I suppose downgrading to the latest 0.2.8.3 alpha would fix it?
