Re: @ Silar
Well, I don't know who this latest idiot is, but I do want to know just what the hell that line about the "casuals" is supposed to mean. I've seen that a couple times since I've been somewhat semi-playing again, off an on the last couple months. The latest instance involved LukeJr's little demo server, where he gives the admin password so you can make it what you like. I saw that and thought, hey, I've got a fun idear. So, I went into there—by myself, mind you—and quickly entered in all the relevant physics and gameplay settings from the old BiH, plus a couple tweaks to gibe it with 0.2.8.x (such as _rubber_delay). I even put in the old "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for Breakfast" round center message. Har. So I'm having some fun with that with some hopes a few people might join in and play. Then some jackass clanboy comes in, logs in, and kick/bans me with a message something along the lines of "GTFO u casual!" Might've been an anti-glay slur mixed in, too.
Another in a batch of new, stupid lingo that's popped up over the last few years, I take it, but what exactly is calling someone a "casual" supposed to mean? Is it some reference to players not in clans? If so, A) Will you f*ckers please just die, and B) What the hell does that have to do with my being in that server?

I've never heard of "casual". It must have originated in High Rubber servers. Sounds dumb.

Re: @ Silar
Probably 'casual' as opposed to 'hard core'. Equivalent to 'Wii owner' or 'PopCap fanboy'. Dunno how any settings can be more casual than others, and if anything, high rubber would be more casual. You can't be more hard core than zero rubber. Well, NEGATIVE rubber, perhaps, where you get killed one meter before you hit the wall.
Umm, and of course, it's not really a good idea to give every random idiot instant kick rights.

Jared, why does it say "epsy." in your signature btw?

Re: @ Silar
'Scuse me for dropping back in a bit late, but negative seems to work just like no rubber. I tried -1 and -1000 and I still got a "5 cm" grind at "30 m/s" with a bit of luck (perhaps the regular keyboard polling was just right for the LLLR structure, giving me a few milliseconds of slack). It's like you're out of rubber, but still actually have to smash into the wall to die. I fired up 0.2.8.2.1 if that matters.[/useless post]Z-Man wrote:Probably 'casual' as opposed to 'hard core'.
