Kicking is lame. Suspend ftw.
Player should be kicked only when he's afk for a long time and is stealing a slot (with full server). You can silence and/or suspend noobs, tkers, idiots, trolls, etc. Both options work better than kick.
I saw the thing you mention only on ctwf recently, when most players don't know about suspend option

Can we have this silly thing locked? As far as I gather from all the tl;dr gibberish,
a) people from both teams claim they were kicked
b) scores were reset
c) nobody knows who did a) and b), nobody did recordings, no server logs.
And as usual, everyone feels the need to chime in, digging out unrelated and equally undocumented stories, blablabla. NOBODY cares and this is getting nowhere.
And just a few note along the 'you all suck' axis:
- the silencing feature was added to deal with idiots. Don't use its existence as an excuse to be one.
- nobody likes crybabies and carebears.
- nobody likes foulmouthed a-holes or people who play with them.
- if you sign up for a competitive event, play accordingly and ignore the chat.
Or, in short, Stop Being A Prick/Learn To Ignore Pricks.
Just switch "youtube" to "everything you post on the internet" on the first one and I think these say it best.
In other words just let it go, both sides disagree leave it there and stop wasting time arguing and insulting someone you really don't know, (I hope) you wouldn't do it on the street to a stranger (you would look like a psycho) so don't do it here. Anonymity breeds animosity.
If you don't like the thread you don't have to read it. Where is the problem in finding answers (as long as insultings stop like hayes mentioned)?
I get more and more the intention that noone likes to change anything. To me this topic went more to ingame behaviours and the way how we should deal with problems like those happened or what we are able to do to avoid them in the future. Now we are talking about closing this thread. I know why I am not here often.
There already is a simple and easy solution if you don't like what someone is saying: silence them, that's all that needs to be done, if they say something offense and or racist vote to kick them or if you have the privileges admin kick/ban them. Continuously talking about it and insulting each other isn't going to change peoples behaviors. Some people use the anonymity of this game so they can cause trouble with no real consequences, just like every other game that you can play over the internet. I don't see what anyone here can do to change this besides disabling chat in the next versions.
As to just not reading the thread, the problem is every other day a new insult or flame thread starts up and it clutters up the other topics. This really shouldn't be the place for most of these topics. For this one it might have been better to go to the fpl website seeing as this is about a forfeit in it.
