.m3u is the only playlist format it *does* support, but it doesn't completely support it. The paths in the file must be absolute paths, not relative. And you have to type in the path to the .m3u file as an absolute path as well.
It's experimental, so it's not user friendly.
Then you have to change the playlist type from internal to custom.
Finally, you have to bind keys to play/stop/next/previous. When you start playing, you have to press the play button to make it start playing.
