48 players? 48 teams?? 48???

if you're talking about players, you could just tell us how many teams of [insert number] can sign up.

edited it

and you do not signup as a team. just for yourself
in the 1st round there will be (i hope so xD) 48players. respectievly 3 fighting each other in a 1vs1vs1 sumo match. the two first will be putted on several teams so that are 8 teams (4players per team) in the second round

Interesting. A Fortress World Championship with no US servers? Sounds like a European Fortress Championship. I would glad donate 2 servers so there could be US ones. One each from different locations.

(I know I said this on the ct forums)

How is it a world championship if teammates aren't from the same countries?

Hey, i think this idea should be revived, it can be really fun and i think it's possible to get enough countries to have some competition. Some countries have more players but maybe can we mix the countries who are close between them? For example, i made something to have a look of how it could happen:

Image

I took the infos that i knew and on the forums, especially players who are actually more or less active on the fortress servers, and who participated to Fortress tourneys, in clear players who will probably play this competition if it happens! A lot of players don't specify their location so i couldn't put them on the board, so with a good communication about this, the board will be able to fill.
For the moment i gathered the countries who don't have a lot of players and who are close.
About USA, they are too many players so i didnt put the players, the best is to put the first 12 players who sign up, 2 teams seems good?
- Otherwise about captains, self nomination seems good http://forums3.armagetronad.net/viewtop ... 7&start=24
- About the servers, Euro and US of course,
- 6 players/teams with 3 sub if the team can
- All the players will have to leave provisionally their usual tag to wear the country one :P ( -Fr , -Usa, -Uk ect ??)
- Then about the settings, like Ladles i guess, and best of 3.
I think it could be fun, give the feedback!
Oh, and sorry if i put you on the wrong country, my bad
