Wild West Server 2 days ago attacked my computer

Hi many of you know me as Cody <3 with the pink heart =), many of you know im nice and cool and i play many wild west servers. well two days ago a trojen block on my firewall came up. I didnt think anything of it really cause it blocked. But I started thinking who attacked me.(btw this was right after i got off tron) so i went to my firewall and seen details, looked at the I.p and said well who has it, I did some research and i found this.


thats my firewall saying how many times they tried to attack and also the IP.
(i didnt get a screenie of the Trojan name it was sumthing like Trojan of Doom)


did some research and found the ips. I believe the first server is what attacked me, not sure.

so if anyone can explain why i was attacked or if this is a false alert(doubt it) then i'll be waiting.

To be honest I just can't keep myself from thinking it's just norton.

I know but I thought WW crew was nice and all and wouldnt do anything to harm their players but then just yesterday i seen another side i never thought i would. So i thought i would post this to see if I can get some truth.

Part of the truth is that Norton sucks big time, and most people on this forum will confirm it.

Maybe try with another firewall?

If you want the truth, ww crew do his best to send virus to all players who play in their servers
instead of posting crap, did you tried to inform the server's owner (Manta) of this? And yes, Norton suck

well what I posted wasn't really crap. Right now im not on speaking terms with manta or his wife destiny

Fix'd. Do you have details on the 'attack'? What port was attacked? TCP or UDP? What was the source port? Without that info, my working theory is that Norton (anagram for 'No Tron', no coincidence, I swear) just mistook a ping reply from the server as an attack.

On the LAN back at home in Sweden, when I go to the master server browser on my Linux desktop, my dad's Windows desktop with Norton also says it's under attack. A little pop-up in the bottom right corner of the screen. I forget the exact text now.

The size of that number looks suspiciously like "bytes transferred in a half hour of play" or something like that.

Looks like NoTron drew another false positive.

How do the other game people deal with these things? Is there an api we could use to tell NoTron to shut the **** up?
