Tron for psp

Post by !TX!Ubunturocks »

Hi all, I found something interesting. There is a fun game I have been playing called Light Cycle 3D for the psp. It is a free homebrew game. I want to make this clear, I did not make this game. It is pretty impressive game, and if you have a psp you should try it. :D True to its name, it really is 3D.

The same was said about the iPhone Tron game. Well, it was said it has AA code in it, but still. Fact is, tron clones do sort of look alike. The video mostly shows menu action, and that doesn't look too glTrony to me.

I read the guy's page on his PSP hack site and he mentions the glTron resources. I guess that explains the glTron textures, and the recognizer model flying around. If I had a PSP I'd probably rock that app. ;)

It works fine on mine, do you have a custom firmware? You will need it to be able to play the game.

This is scary but true, I had to formate my memory stick on my psp, so I downloaded this game again and it says the game can not be started. I found out that I still had the original file I downloaded before I formated my psp, and the game works like a charm. I have no idea why, but I tried to run the game I just downloaded again, it did not work. I then replaced the new file with the old one, and it works again. It is like the file turned corrupted on the website. Strange. D: I wonder if I should upload the game file here that works :?:

First, I need to you to tell me what your current firmware is, and your psp model, (1000, 2000, 3000.) If your psp firmware is over 5.03, I can not help, unless your psp is a 1000, or a 2000.

The game was updated again. It has improved a lot. I would like to upload a video of it, but I do not have a youtube account. The GLTron is really showing now. In fact, it is kind of hard to tell a difference. It is really fun. If GLTron is possible to work this good on the psp, armagetron should be able to work on the psp as well. I hope that armagetron finds its way on to the psp soon. Could armagetron run good on a 333 MHz processor, with 32 megabytes of ram? :/

It was originally developed with less power (more memory, too, but that shouldn't be a problem client side). But you still have to have the hardware and to the port to whatever libraries are available there for homebrew.
