2020. I think that you may have a point. It will be the same people and clans/teams participating. Perhaps for now...simplicity of changing the name only, might make the most sense. People were calling this Bowl, the "Bladle". So obviously, people view it as one tournament. I can see the elegance of your vision, and think your right!

Gz Twixties :)

Shouldn't it be L22 now? I mean, we probably won't get as many teams next 3 months. And "killing" Ladles wouldn't be the smartest idea - it's better known name amongst tronners than "Bowl".
Make it seasonal, please :)

gz team!
I had very good matches with MT and SP. shame I couldn't make it until the finals... but they did it great :)

about the nickname thingy, I vote for L22 if we're going to do this monthly (remember that the bowl is supposed to be seasonal - the first Sunday of every month)

look on page 7, he has done all recordings ... but why has bowl to be on sundays? I would prefer saturdays, on sundays 21:00 gmt for final so 23:00 for me in germany is too late

wait a second, i didnt realize what happened last night until now! arrows played one extra match than twix, we played 4 consecutive matches before the final and got majorly postponed time-wise due to long matches and some teams not turning up on time. by the time we made it to the server ready to go, it was qurater to midnight (the match was supposed to start at 21:00GMT) and one of our players had to go to bed because of school/work. arrow then requested we postponed the final till another date when it wasnt so late. naturally the american players complained about this, because it was 7PM where they were..

i myself didnt play at all because ive got exams on at the moment, but i dipped in and out of a few matches to see how we were doing.. at that point ^ i went to bed

so am i right in thinking that you wouldnt cave in, the final went on (5 arrows vs 6 twix), then arrow won the first match and then decided to leave because it had gotten to ridiculous o'clock and they were tired? so by default, twix won?

and before you go on about how long you'd waited for us to play, do remember that we had to wait in between all of our matches for teams to show up which is why you waited in the first place!

i really am sorry if i got my facts wrong, thats just what ive gathered from a few people. im not trying to whine or acuse anyone of anything, i just think its a bit of poor play from the twix team, refusing to play it on a more appropriate date than for themselves!

and seriously - apologies if ive got my facts confused

p.s. i watched the ct game - wd to both teams, that match was sickkkk

It was 5v6 but arrow didn't forfeit they played all 3 matches. I don't think any criticism should be thrown at trix, they were well within their rights to continue play last night. Any blame from this situation should be directed towards any team arrow faced (and in general) who made them wait and delayed the finals over and hour.

And trix didn't force the game to be played, that was the act of a despotic server admin who figured that since arrow obviously had the time to argue, they also had the time to play.
In my eyes, the event was planned as a one day thing and the schedule has traditionally been flexible in case of trouble in one bracket. Unless the delay was specifically one team's fault or absolutely intolerably large, there is no reason to reschedule anything to a completely new day.

Regardless of the reasons why, we just really wanted to play since we had been waiting for an hour and a half in between the semi's and the finals.

well, from how i understand the situation, arrow left half way through the second match (or at least viper did, making it 4 - unless the others did) which is what i assume happened? that second match twix were winning, but was never completed (unless hoop did a one-man stand, which he mighta done!)

so technically arrow left at 1-0, though it looked like twix were going to win the second (though i wouldnt put it past us - see ct vs arrow)

i think twix deserve some criticism, its not unreasonable to request a re-schedule without having to lose the final by default - which is what happened, especially after playing for 6 hours straight. viper told me he pretty much collapsed from exhaustion!

but there's no point picking holes - what happened happened and us arrows arent too bothered about winning or losing, we just like to play. i am, however, very keen to uphold a fair system and environment in which players can get the most out of playing in the fairest possible way.

so for this reason, id like to propose an amendment to the rules: if games get delayed by x amount of hours, teams can request they play the semi-final or final another time

what do you think? i understand your reasoning durka, but try and understand ours! and z-man, we were arguing whilst our players left.. we had 5 by the time it started.. and we only debated postponing for less than 3 or 4 minutes, a match takes at least 20-30mins+

we need a way of ensuring that games start on time
with whoever happens to be present
and if the two teams agree to delay
then we need rules to ensure that they finish even if a match hasn't been finished...

as experienced
someone delayed the start in one of the sweet sixteen i think
and the domino effect is tedious for all other teams
we had to wait an hour because we finished 15 mins early and had to wait for the other teams to finish...
it's not on
hold the line

Wow, who told you that? We played 6v5 for 3 matches (since we decided best of 3 was better because of the time constraint). After the first match, however, we moved to CT's server since Z-Man's was lagging like crazy (all 5 U.S. TRX's had 189+ ping). Check out the screenshots:
