See, this is what happens when a team doesn't list their players. I assumed that he had enough players for a team (bad assumption, right?), so I made the challenge board accordingly. This is the 3rd Ladle in a row something like this has happened.owned wrote:Apparently flex took his team (I think it was only him) off of the challenge board. So Manic Miners gets a bye in the first round.

Re: Twenthieth TRONIC Ladle
Maybe it's time to consider a free-standing website for the ladle where players must register? Or maybe realize the MCP proposed earlier?
I think the chance of a team dropping out will always increase along with the increase in teams. I don't know how that can be avoided completely. Maybe we should just expect it instead?

I'll be spectating a few matches, have fun and good luck everyone

I made a recording of our match, so if plus is interested, you can download it here:

Not if they list their players. TR listed 10 players, Flex listed 1. Which team has a bigger chance of dropping out? I don't see why listing out players is so hard?sinewav wrote:Maybe it's time to consider a free-standing website for the ladle where players must register? Or maybe realize the MCP proposed earlier?

Re: Twenthieth TRONIC Ladle
That was definitely the funnest ladle i've ever played in. We had close matches each game, with 100-98 vs x, something similar to that vs tr, all culminating with a 102-100 vs plus in the key 3rd match. All of our team played great.
Re: Twenthieth TRONIC Ladle
/me agrees with DDMJ. Listing players should be a must. Otherwise, sooner or layer, people will start using team switcheroo tricks to get a 'better' start position after randomization.
Gratz to CT. Here's my recordings:
final: CT vs + (dunno which of them)
semi: CT vs. WWa
quarter: CT vs TR
octa: CT vs |x|

How about this: any team with less than 2 players listed on the challenge board at the time the brackets are chosen, doesn't get included in the draw? OR maybe less than 4 players?

Or maybe, to compel with the rules, less than 6 players?sinewav wrote:How about this: any team with less than 2 players listed on the challenge board at the time the brackets are chosen, doesn't get included in the draw? OR maybe less than 4 players?

Re: Twenthieth TRONIC Ladle
Sure, that's good too. I just don't think a 4-player team should be discriminated against, even though they would be at a serious disadvantage. My Plus+ team was only 5 players and we did fairly well.
Re: Twenthieth TRONIC Ladle
6v5 is an acceptable unbalance
6v4 is usually boring, cause rounds always end in 3v1 or such
but if you really want to play in a team of 4, you could simply fit the empty spots with fake names.

Re: Twenthieth TRONIC Ladle
i had fun
probably because we didn't meet a truly challenging team apart from our own plus team in the semi's
heheh
went rather smoothly this time
final started 10 mins late
all our games started on time
vibe was good between players
no hassle
thanks to all admin
i'd like to interview your behind the scenes work

Z-man I can't play the recording I think. My client is version 0.3. When I start one of your files with it, I see that you scrolled down and selected "Mates" and then the cursor keeps blinking half an hour. Is there a kind of command that makes it going fast forward?
