After posting in the Armagetron Revitalization thread, an idea hit me!

Developer Chats!

I didn't search the forums to see if it's been done....
I don't know if it interests you.....

But what about this?

We borrow an Idea that has worked eslewhere.
Developer Chats!

You, the individual Dev, pick out a topic that you would like to get community input on, get the word out about, or i dunno, something!

An individual like myself, or say, Durka, that's connected in the community, posts like crazy all over tron that such and so dev will be hosting a developer chat in the #armagetron channel on freenode at such and so time gmt on such and so date.
The greatest likelihood is that, only those with a vested interest will show up. Then, using the tool of choice of the devs, you can get community input! You can tout a new release! You can gauge interest in a potential new feature.

Basically, you get more community involvement from outside of this forum!

I like the idea, but I think a question & answer session would be more appropriate, rather than developers asking players.

That's pretty much what happens everyday on IRC.

Between this forum and watching the IRC channel, I never feel like I'm missing out on information or not having my voice heard or questions answered.
