40 vids end to end

Post by 2020 »

well...
i have recorded both ends of 20 games the other day
not the best play in the world
but you might spot something useful in them...
i am not sure if i want to put them all up
since sometimes there is absolutely no action around a zone
but it makes for interesting viewing to play both simultaneously

interestingly
out of the 20
only three had successful defences
and ten had successfully conducted attacks
and only twice were both teams caught in midfield

would be nice to have this kind of coverage of a ladle final
where the skill level is very high
plenty to look at :)

ok
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEs3eEPhI2I
is the first one

i have not included the ones where absolutely nothing happens
and the ones interrupted midway because of end of match...

even this one only has a few seconds at the end
which shows anything interesting...
but perhaps others might spot some interesting things...

consider it something like a resource...
voicethread may also be useful to enable comments...

not the most exciting vids in the world
and it took a bit too much time to go from concept to online

still
probably beats working :)

those are actually pretty awesome
and I think would be a great way to broadcast a game
perhaps two spectators each stream video capture of a final match?

Yeah, why not? Has anyone done any live video streams here? I'll look into it. I don't think my hardware or connection is good enough. What camera settings do you use 2020? Maybe configure an instance of Arma with split-screen, one focused on blue zone, the other gold. That way it can be a single video stream.

Interesting.

(oh, it was fun to see myself haha!)

never thought about streaming...
there is software around for that...
hmmm

i use ishowu
which cost me $35 or less
which records the playback of the arma recording...
so it won't work for streaming...
however...
hmmmm....

and having our cameras looking at different things
why not four cameras?
two on the zones
two looking at midfield from opposite sides?

of course
i think that mirrored servers would be better
since it allows any viewer to look at any particular aspect of the game
whether watch a zone
or follow a player
again it is up to the viewer and not the broadcaster

Yeah me too. But how? I would gladly offer server space.

@sinewave
um
no idea

i'm not the person to know how to hook it up
since i don't know what the backend looks like

in terms of front end:
i go in as a spectator in the final
and my view is a host for others to join

i guess this is not possible
otherwise it would have been done by now

btw
the archive seems contain amazing quality vids:

the sound is out of synch...

Not necessarily, perhaps no one has actually taken it up yet, and thats why it hasn't been done.

Actually, it's because youtube is not offering high quality except under very specific circumstances. Yesterday I uploaded some HD video, and today the HD options are gone. I've checked their forums (youtube has no actual support), and it looks like this is planned by Google. There was a work-around by adding a suffix in the URL, but they closed that door too.

I imagine this is preparation for the new download service they are launching. Give shitty previews and hope people pay for the high-def download. I'm deleting my account there very soon.

If you find a better youtube alternative, lemme know.
