Delete the frommaster.srv in your Application Data\Armagetron\var folder.

edit: Just saw in the other thread, make sure you are trying in 0.2.8 rather than the 0.3 build

for those who are interested...i found this old built of the 0.3 on my hard disk, according to the date if has been modified the last time, it must be from jan/feb 2008

I don't really follow all this release stuff, so maybe it's already been said somewhere else, but I tried r8689 from beta.armagetronad.net, and I had this problem as well.
