I don't really think it should be held on one day, maybe stretched over two consecutive weekends?

Hmm.
I really like having it in one day, mostly because it makes it one event.
Its only 1 more round than CT played in Ladle 17 . . . so I'm not terribly concerned about timing.

I feel like the larger these get the more priority player will put on them in their weekend schedule and we will actually have less conflicts as a result.

Perhaps over saturday-sunday?
I feel like two different weekends could cause problems?

Thoughts?

Well it could be argued that Ladle 17 went a bit too late for the europeans. Especially considering matches between two good teams can take much longer than 45 minutes.

I think it would be best to have two opposite Sundays. I think there's a reason that there are no Saturday tourneys in fort now.

we should all introduce two of our in real life friends to fortress and show them around the community, teach them fortress and tell them to tell two other friends.

Kind of like a chain email, it can grow quickly if we start it. A personal invite is hard to turn down, especially when its a low commitment like 1 hour video game playing. Little do they know that this game will turn into a major hobby for them.

So tell 2 friends and after they like it tell them to share what you shared with 2 other friends. If it keeps spreading this way we will have enough players just 20 steps down the road.

I also forgot to mention, nice job on the bracket, it looks professional.

Just a few things to touch up:
1. We need a final match.
2. Should we just go with previous ladle rules and have best of 3 for all matches excluding the final which has 5? Should we also have a 3rd place match?
3. Should there be seeding or not?

I think we should have a 3rd place match. I also think that considering the tourneys grandeur, all matches excluding the finals and semis should have 3 matches, the semis should have 5, and the finals 7. This also supports having 2 days of the tourney.

I don't really think seeding should be used as this is just the first bowl, but maybe for the next one.

Never again should a best-of-7 be played. Been there, done that. It took forever, literally. We had to take a break after the 5th match because everyone was exhausted. I'm referring to the AFL finals.

Yea... Don't remind me about best of 7. When some rounds take 15 minutes long, it adds up.
