Please post exact error messages, both from the server's console and what the clients get to see. "Doesn't work" is not enough detail :)

Well as Infamous has already stated (and has been posted previously) we are having this issue. Originally we did a reinstall and it fixed it however it came back out of no where and a reinstall has not fixed it again. Therefore I believe it is a setting somewhere.

Hmm, can I see the bit of the server log where it talks to the master servers?

it still sounds Like SERVER_IP is not being set to 74.92.240.101

I only say that because that is the error message we get on our servers if that is not set.

Kyle, setting SERVER_IP doesn't work.

It needs to be set before the server enters server mode(as opposed to be in client mode, eg. when it connects to masters), so you should put it exclusively in config files

The standard output log, where also all the chat is echoed. I don't know how you run your server, so I don't know where it is. /var/log/armagetronad.log would be the location if you use the provided init script.

@Z-man
Ya... The server doesn't have chat logs... I've been trying to figure out how to make them work in windows for quite a while now...

@Epsy
That would prolly be the problem :lol:

Yeah so we still havent figured out this issue. I guess until we get more time to look into it, I'll revert our server back down.

I am having a lot of difficulties finding decent documentation on authentication so if anyone would know of a good site which they've used to set it up, that would be awesome. Thing that baffles me on this entire situation would be that it was working one minute and the next its not. It changed all of a sudden which means some variable had to change

In anycase, please let me know your thoughts / advise on this situation. If you would like to talk about it more in detail in person, aim me at Geekc5

Thanks

I found the problem a few days back. It ended up being a blank setting in settings_authentication.cfg
HASH_METHOD_BLACKLIST
After deleting it, everything works fine. :o
