The complete Fortress tutorial?

Anything about how you get those awesome core-dumps, or why you don't get them...

Hey all.

So at least we have a few people that are interested and willing to help. I guess we should all start working on the Wiki page first. Please try and add information that is missing. I added stuff and made new categories according to our list. At the moment it's quite messy and not much, but it's a start. :)

Visuals and videos can all go there too. Just link it accordingly and if you need web space, just ask here. It's not much now, but slowly we can have the whole page complete.

I have not forgotten the other stuff such as flash videos and stuff. We can work on those, too.

Very nice start Flex. I might chime in as well and add some content.

BUMP!

I've been busy and not had a chance to work on the wiki and the times I've had a chance I was too lazy to start. I haven't forgotten about this and I still wan[/color]t to do this! I hope we still can slowly do this, so...

LukeSky, do you think it's a good idea and if so, could you copy all of your tutorial from your blog on to the wiki, so we can add and improve to that rather than starting from scratch or rewriting the same stuff. I would do this, but I think it's best you do it because it's your work and you should decide what you want on there, thanks. :) (If you don't mind, but don't want to do it, I can copy everything, but I'd be glad if you did it rather than me.)

I can add my tutorial to the wiki page, but you (and all the others) would have to wait till next week as I am going to Munich tomorrow and I won't be back until Monday.

Sorry for the double post, but I just had a look at the wiki page. There is already content for almost any part of the game mode I covered in my guide. So, do you want me to simply add my respective parts as a whole, or do you want me to rephrase them so they fit in the wiki page?

It's up to you really. I mostly just want your work included so we can add to it and carry on from there. It would be a bonus if you made it fit in with everything. :)

Thanks.

Well, not that I'm a friend of bumping old threads, but "the" fortess tutorial has been updated (you did not expect that, did you?). I added some stuff about "mindgames" which I think can really make the difference between winning and losing. At the moment the guide can be read here, I may add it to the wiki later. And yes, I think I will work on this further, the start seems to good to be kept as it is now.
