What do you want to see here? Some more categories, forums, and mods? Hmm...

Do you think it's a good idea?

Yes, this would make things easier for me.

It's a good idea, but not something I would use.

No, I see no practical use for it. You're just lazy.

I'm wondering if anyone else would like to see the links at the top also at the bottom of the page.
I presented this idea to Tank, who said he would personally have no use for it. So here I am asking if anyone else would find this helpful.
This is our conversation:
I wrote:Can we get a link for 'View post since last visit' at the bottom of the forums? So when you've finished reading a thread, you don't have to either scroll up or hit the Back to Top link.
This would be most helpful.
Tank wrote:Have you tried hitting alt-left arrow as a keyboard shortcut for back?
I wrote:Well I could hit the back button for that matter. But unless I'm typing something, my hand aren't on the keyboard, so hitting alt+left is more effort.
But if I'm going back and forth reading 2+ pages of a thread or searching, back isn't going to do what I want.
Some forums have all of the options available on the top also lacted on the bottom for easy page flipping. Just wondering if it's something you'd be willing to implement. If not, it's your forums, you can do what you want. :)
Tank wrote:I've never really found it an issue, but I can see how it might be annoying. How about starting a pole to see what others thing as well?
So... yea. Poll please. :D

Yep. My procedure: Tab one always shows "View posts since last visit" and all new posts get opened in new tabs.

I agree with Fonkay, it would make things easier for me. But yes, I'm lazy.

I agree with Fonkay on this one. The most common time to want to click on a link is when we have finished reading the page and are at the bottom of it.
  • 1) It would be faster than changing tabs
    2) Sometimes you don't want to have too many tabs open
    3) It would be faster than clicking on "Back to top"

It takes me half a second to switch tabs using middle click + left/right click, while it takes me almost two seconds to aim at a link
PS: same goes for back/forward

Yeah, maybe you could put the links in a spinning zone with a light cycle circling it, leaving just a little hole for you to move your mouse pointer through.
