Sounds

Post by FlamingMetroidzd »

I've made custom sounds for my armagetron before, and I'm attempting to redo them. Both times it's been difficult, as the game lowers the volume of the sounds by a huge amount. I have to nearly max all the volumes I can find on my sequencer, and for most of the sounds, maxing that much causes a lot of noise and breakage. (It has even seemed to have gotten worse since last time)

Any way around this?

You can use a wav amplifier which tends to introduce less noise than just uping the preamp.

Can you tell me what hardware and software you are using? I do audio mastering occasionally, so I might be able to clean those sounds up for you.

What version of the Armagetron client are you using? If it's 3.0... Then you're pretty much dead in the water. The sound is broke still. I was having a problem with it myself not so long ago, until I was told the horrifying news. hehe
