Tron is like one of the worst movies ever made. Just like one of the worst movies ever made, it has some of the worst acting you can imagine, and a really cheesy story. Why we all like it, I don't really know.

Is it the hacking?

Is it the part where the guy gets sucked into the computer?

Is it the idea that the programs I write are somewhere in the core, fighting a battle to the death, and the fact that my programs keep working means they're winning?

Maybe it really is the games themselves?

Who knows? The only thing that is known for certain: if they ever make a sequel, it'll be hard to make a worse movie. And just as hard to like.

It's from 1982. Guess was quite astonishing for that time. Was around 1988 when I was a young kid and saw it first and didn't understand anything. But the blingbling effects were impressive or let's say psychedelic.
