I recently installed Fedora 8 Linux and I was trying to download Armagetron but I cant seem to downlaod the right file my computer just keeps telling me it is already installed but it clearly isnt or it tells me that no packets were give for installation. can anyone help?

Which files (exact filename, please) have you tried, and what was the exact output?

Usually, the autopackage ( .package ) file should work fine for you. Note that after installation in some configurations, you have to log out and log in again to see the menu entries and be able to launch the game via the console.

That's not the complete filename, I bet there also is a .rpm extension. Where did you get it from? And what is the full error message you get? And what happens if you open a terminal and type

If it's a recent Fedora, shouldn't there be an Armacycles package available?

Right The problem may be a collision between the installed armacycles package (should be playable by entering "armacycles" at the console) and the other package Webb34 tried to install, where we don't know where it came from
