No worries about the drag :) Status 15 means there was a crash. Which autopackage did you download? Some of the earler ones require that you install them from the console with

./<package name> -t
on some systems (/me blames autopackage). Could you copy/paste the whole output of the installer here?

Heh, I'd love to support your blaming autopackage, but when I talked to the autopackage guys, they blamed gtk. Grrr........

They're probably right, but as long as the blame stays shifted away from us, that's fine by me :)

I just double clicked on the downloaded file and it installed an autopackage for me, could it be "autopackage software installer (GTK+)?

I needed to be logged in as root to install it
