Hi people who play much better than me. I've played this game abit and I have only a small amount of skill atm. I first played about a year ago in tech camp, but never had the ability to dl this game. I now have DSL so I have a decent ability to play games over an internet connection, and I finally have started playing again. I hope to get along well with other players of this game.
On the other note, I would like to know which servers would be newb-friendly, so I can ease my way into the game without having to worry about getting pwned so much. I can hold my own against the AI most of the time unless I screw up, cuz I'm still playing with the control scheme looking for what works. I'm playing mostly with the default settings atm.

As for noob- friendly servers: Don't go to a server that has “fortress” in its name. It's teamplay and some people forgot that they once were newbies and kick anyone who dosn't have their 1337 skills.
I started out at microbuscity, it's far from the default settings but people are generally nice and as it's not teamplay noone really minds if you keep crashing.
As long as you don't camp (= excessive running away from others and not giving them a chance to reach you, though some people have other definitions, mostly to cover up their own lack of skill) or disobey special server “rules” (some servers don't want you to swear, and don't enter tigers network speed blast without locating your brake button first and using it excessively until you crash pointlessly) you should be fine, though. If you get kicked for really stupid reasons (there's kick polls which don't necessarily represent the opinion of the server admin or even of the majority of players) just pick a different server or wait until the idiots who kicked you are gone.
