FPS counter should be independant from HUD display
I can't see my FPS without having the HUD turned on, or am I doing something wrong? I want to see how much FPS increase I get with the HUD turned off, but I can't do that.

No, I'm talking about macaroni and cheese
, of course I'm talking about the three default HUD meters at the bottom of the screen. You can't turn them off, so why say (ishAdmin) that you can turn stuff off? You would think that turning everything off and setting "FPS Display" to "On" would show me my FPS......but nooooooooooooooooo, everything gotta be complicated and I have to force the HUD display setting to on in order to see my FPS, which is gonna cost me some FPS loss because I want to see what my FPS is without the stinking HUD getting in the way.

Moron, you don't know what you're talking about. The FPS is a HUD. Full stop. Turning off all the other stuff makes the HUD back to the original only FPS. Stop whinning, try looking at the code or helping in some way.FistOfFury wrote:No, I'm talking about macaroni and cheese, of course I'm talking about the three default HUD meters at the bottom of the screen. Nice people here, what side of the bed did you wake up today, on the floor with your head stuck up your ass? That's what it looks like. I am trying to help to improve the FPS display for people with slower computers, by pointing out some obvious things that should have been put in, but are not in, because I'm not a programmer so I don't know what's going on in the game code, and I get insulted, called a moron. Nice.

Turning on the HUD and turning everything except the fps off still makes my game show all the bars.. and when i turn of the HUD they disapear, maybe you're using a different version but there is no way to display only FPS.subby wrote: Moron, you don't know what you're talking about. try disabling every thing but the fps then completely exit the program and re-start and you should have fps only ! (oh boy yet another bug)Lackadaisical wrote:Turning on the HUD and turning everything except the fps off still makes my game show all the bars.. and when i turn of the HUD they disapear, maybe you're using a different version but there is no way to display only FPS.subby wrote: Moron, you don't know what you're talking about.
