No, and how would that work since we will be playing at the same time..

I'll adjust the times, unless you're playing against each other, in which case there won't be a home court advantage to either of you, since you'll both be at home. :)

;D though there are 3 players less than in the ladle. in case it lasts a little longer the 2nd team is able to wait 15 min i think? that are anyway other teams, so no one needs a break.

I'll get to it as soon as I can, Rain, but please try to remember that AFL started off with 5-6 folks helping me, and now it appears I'm by myself. So now we're short-staffed. Anyone that's not playing want to volunteer?

What I need right now is for someone to get in contact with Unnamed Team 2.

http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php? ... Team_2_AFL

They haven't declared a home server, and they're using Monkey as a go-between (Monkey of the Tards). While Monkey did start the team in a last-minute rush to try to make sure there were slots for other players, he has also interfered significantly in Unnamed Team 1's business, sending me messages that conflict with what UT1's captain has been telling me, so we need someone to go to UT2 directly and make sure they understand that a) Monkey isn't running AFL (hoops thought he was, which made it a little, um, entertaining when he found out otherwise), and that b) MOnkey is officially considered by AFL officials (that's me! :) ) to be an unreliable source of information. UT2 is the only team I haven't heard from!

I now have enough information to correct the schedule, pending UT2's server declaration, which means I can hopefully get the calendar updated (the ical one).

I also need to talk to Wizzee sometime soon, maybe spidey, but I have their IMs, so if you stumble across them you could mention it (it's about the FA AFL server, now that hoops has declared it UT1's home server).

Last thing is I want to try to meet with team captains, but I haven't managed to schedule the meeting, so first day's games (day after tomorrow) might be a bit more chaotic than they need to be. :/ So I guess pass the word that I want to talk to team captains in #afl on freenode sometime before sunday evening.

I'll contact Legionnaire with regards UT2, as he is meant to be acting captain. I shall also be on IRC #afl tomorrow night and before the game on sunday, for anything that needs to be arranged.

I forgot, should the servers be publicly visible or custom connect?

Actually, custom connect is preferred. Servers should only be public in special circumstances. :)

I talked to legionnaire, thanks Rico. :)

The calendar has been adjusted and is mostly final. The only changes available now are on the two weeks where there are games scheduled at z-man's. Other games are now set in stone. :)

Also, I dropped GMT references in favor of UTC. The difference is a maximum of 1 minute, so it's only a cosmetic difference. I added a London time column as a sanity check.

And if you use a program that can retrieve a remote ical file:

http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/dav ... /basic.ics

This last is recommended because then your calendar application will adjust the times for your timezone automatically. But it's only useful if you already use a calendar application to manage your time, I think. ;)
