you guys say that you only need 60 fps and downgrade my graphic card
when ur getting 30 ******* fps aren't you supposed to be a programmer for tron or some shit? your end users have computers that are around 26 times better than yours

you can see clearly when u zoom in because its tooken on a 20 inch screen
you can see the walls reflect
and you can see the tron cycle's wall right under it
you might be using a shitty screen dawg

You need version 0.3.0 and to setup a custom cockpit. More information is available on the wiki.

The customizable cockpit are a feature from the development branch (ie: not really stable, yet full of the latest goodies). That one is from version 0.3.

We have a nice little wiki that has lots of details such as how to create your own cockpit. I can't find the link at the moment, but I'm sure you will be able to. In the mean while, here is something to make you drool a bit:

i am an end-user and i get 50 fps with no detail and everything off.
it depends on money an end-user has to spend in a new graphic card.
maybe you could give me about 6 or 7 times of your 26 times better machine? let me know, this is my email: rain@buio.org

edit: not that I'm trying to argue, 800 fps is still way more than the eye can see. we collected a lot of this fps discussion on the wiki awhile back.

They are still made at 24 frames per second, if the director has any sense and uses film of course. Television and for the most part films that have a don't have a classic director courting them use 30 frames per second.

Not this framerate discussion again, but I'll add something anyway:
- If you can see a flash of 1 ms that doesn't mean you can distinguish it from a 5 ms flash of 1/5 the brightness.
- Even if something runs at 200 Hz and you normally wouldn't notice, it gets quite obvious when there is fast motion but no motion blur. Or when tracking moving objects with/without blur. I can see typical LCD displays (nitpicking defense: as a whole, including the backlight) flicker that way.
- Games do tend to feel slightly smoother at framerates higher than the refresh rate. More responsive, perhaps, and timing is less quantized which does seem to make a small difference in first-person shooters even if there's not much more to be seen.
- Yes, when I tried to show something on someone's CRT display recently it drove me crazy even when I turned the resolution down to get 85 Hz.

sure the eyes can see 60 fps only
but if your graphic card is only capable of 60 fps on tron, i'd just imagine how much fps you would get in vista running crysis or halo 2
plus, if your running 800 fps compared to 200
you can notice a speed difference
when the sever is crowded and you have 200 fps you would spike to 100
if i was running 800 i'd spike to 400 and be running it stronger than all ya'll
if you ever had a expensive graphic card you'd notice the difference between 60 fps and 800 fps in terms of smoothness and response. btw my lcd proli costs more than ya'll comps LOL
