Well, your team would only be as strong as it's weakest player.
One bad defender and it's all over. You could double up on defence, of course, but this would kind of defeat the purpose of the server.
You also have conquer rates to consider. Normal fortress settings would allow 2 players to conquer the centre zone against 2 defenders, so it would be merely a race to the centre zone to win the match.
Give the zones sumo settings and fortress style play is out the window.

I'd like to see you prove me wrong, and the server may work for competition style play where the teams are decided beforehand. But for an open server, I think it's fun value wouldn't last long.

Have a blast on Chico's Ball Pit Experiment or Howl's Moving Castle. Both interesting servers trying new things (moving zones). But do they really work?

The server is up and it's generally functional (there is still more to be tweaked, setting-wise). But for all intents and purposes, you can play there.

It is called "The Enclave" and has the description "Team Fumo".

Lrn-new-keys and Monkey have been hard at work making it and seem pretty dedicated to the cause. It's likely that it will be completely done very shortly.

One bad defender wouldn't necessarily mean it's all over, as you could have great offense (either invading the other fort or taking over the sumo zone in the middle), but I do see your point.

Really though, that's just dealing with a "bad" or "inexperienced" player. It's a disadvantage, but surely nothing new (which is to say it has been overcome in other forms of gameplay and can be done here as well).
