My old D-Link had a master reset switch (or rather a hole where you could stick a needle or an unfolded paper-clip) on it. It resets EVERYTHING on the router. Including the master password.

But if before you have done that you have
1) downloaded the appropriate manual from D-Link web page (so you have it on your hard-drive to re-configure the router once reseted). In this document you should find the default admin account name and password.
2) saved your current configuration (most routers allow to export and import their configuration)

then resetting your router might be an option to address your problem with your admin account on your router. But it is of course a drastic measure and should probably only considered as a last resort.

But I would try again to create the port forwarding rule. You seem to be able to configure part of it already.

Hi all,

in the Server Administration Guide in the wiki. It says to be on the server list you have to add the line "TALK_TO_MASTER 1" to settings_custom.cfg

I cannot find this cfg file. I have settings.cfg and settings_dedicated.cfg but no settings_custom.

Should I create the file or is this information wrong?

You should create the file. You can also edit settings_dedicated.cfg, but the installer has no ethical problem with overwriting your changes when you upgrade to a new version.

The information is right, especially the part that says "You have to create these files yourself, they don't exist until you create them!", referring to settings_custom.cfg, server_info.cfg, and autoexec.cfg.

The DI-524? Then do what that page says, but make only one entry that looks like this:

Name: Armagetron Advanced
Private IP: 192.168.1.246 or whatever it is
Protocol type: UDP
Private port: 4534
Public port: 4534
Schedule: always

Besides giving the default name/password (admin with a blank password) this won't help your login trouble, but it will help once you have access.

I have controll of my router now and i have done this part

Name: Armagetron Advanced
Private IP: <------- but wht is this one ?
Protocol type: UDP
Private port: 4534
Public port: 4534
Schedule: always

That should be the IP address of the server, which you should preferably configure manually, not using DHCP in its typical form. How exactly you do this depends on your OS.
