Who needs floppies, anyways? I'd rather type in 1.44 MB by hand in a hex editor than use one of these things…

Actually I corrected that typo, apparently it didn't accept my edit, I didn't check after…
Well, with a page margin of 5mm, I can print 12,753 characters on a DIN A4 page in DejaVu Sans Mono at 8pt, 80% line spacing.
A full floppy disk in hexadecimal notation would need 2,949,120 characters, so this makes for a mere 232 pages. That's still possible if you have enough time, and maybe you can use a scanner and text recognition software, too, like RFC 1149

Welcome. But how is it related to this old thread?
BTW, you can use a much smaller font, or are your eyes not up to it and is the OCR not reliable enough?
Same thing happened to me recently. I edited immediately after posting, which was too fast for what appears to be intended for new posts.wrtlprnft wrote:Actually I corrected that typo, apparently it didn't accept my edit, I didn't check after…
I won't help you out with worn keyboards (depends on distribution of characters and quality) or RSI. Makes me wonder how many times I've pressed a key in my entire life, last year, …wrtlprnft wrote:Well, with a page margin of 5mm, I can print 12,753 characters on a DIN A4 page in DejaVu Sans Mono at 8pt, 80% line spacing.
