I personally did not like halo at all, Though I can see why people like it but it just wasn't for me. I connected more with Half Life than any other fps. I'm just not a fan of console shooters. I even tried the halo port for the pc which was just a disaster. Goldeneye is the only good console fps in my eyes
.As to this console deal, I'm a console gamer at heart. I grew up with NES and the Sega Genesis for most of my life and still play most of those games. Which is why my new console friend is the Wii. Its virtual console which lets you download games from nes, snes, genesis, turbografx16 and nintendo 64 games, not to mention its backwards compatible with Gamecube games not to mention its the only new system that is doing something different. If you haven't tried out a Wii I strongly suggest you give it a whirl before you cast judgements on it. I was extremely skeptic before I tried it, and its the funnest system I've played. It had a great launch, but that was just a launch. I hope it lasts in the long run.
The Gamecube was amazing, its only problem was its lack of a game library, and don't feed me that "DOOD IT DONT HAVE MATURE GAMES JUST SUPR GHEY GAMES FOR KIDS HURRR(even though it had resident evil 4)"garbage. It's kind of funny since I find more adults playing the "kid" games more than the "mature adult manly" games.
Which also brings up another thing. The games make the system, not its "Super 1337 GR@PHICS" which is why the PS3 isn't doing so hot right now. I don't see any reason to buy a PS3 right now. There are no solid games that you can't already get that has been ported to less expensive systems, and I already have a PS2 that can play PS2 games really well.
I still like the dreamcast. Forget you guys.
