new lightcycle

Post by edd »

Hi all.

I thought it was about time to make another model of the lightcycle. This one is a high detail version so its a bigger file size. I am still getting high fps though and don't see any drop in game performance. The edges have been rounded and 'shadows' mapped a bit better. The screen grab isn't great but you get the idea!

lightcycle update

Post by edd »

As usual I've made a few slight modifications to the model. Mostly just making the shadows on the cycle a bit better.

Nice work as usual. It would be great to get rid of the old stub-shaped lightcycle and replace it with something like this (for non-moviepack users).

I agree, and it really is quite impressive work.

Hey, nobody insults my vehicles and lives!

More seriously, I wouldn't mind getting one of these replace the old model in 0.3.1. The code is prepared for any mixture of models; you just have to remove the old model and stick in the new one sorted into the right folders.

Hi all,

Thanks for the good feedback. It would be very cool if this model was used in the next release, I'll keep my fingers crossed!
