The subject pretty much says it all.
If there's anyone interested (well, probably most of us) take a look:

Nemo noticed it awhile back, I think. At least, I think it was him, may have been someone else, but I remember going and posting a remark on the discussion page (which was answered) and removing the tag. Hmm, maybe I didn't remove the tag, just posted a comment on it. Anyway, the editor that nominated that page for deletion created this page:

Does he just not like computer games? Or does he just completely fail to understand the nature of the open source gaming community? I don't think we're going to be able to meet their standards for notability if they're willing to so blatantly ignore the fact taht most, if not all, of those games are distributed by the linux distributors themselves. I mean, our distribution model i simple, we put out our package, and wait for the distributors to pick it up.

I'm keeping out of this; I don't know whether games and other elements of popular (sub)culture should have a place in an encyclopedia. But if you need proof only I can bring, I'm ready.
Some notes:
Our SVN repository, being a seemless merger between the two old CVS repositories, proves continuity nicely.
If printed references are wanted, I've got issue 2003/8 of a Japanese Linux Magazine ( www.ascii.co.jp/linuxmag/ ) where there is something on AA on page 120. I think it also was included on the cover CD, but the only thing I understand are the cute penguin drawings.

I think Armagetron could be one of those things that have a place on Wikipedia because WP isn't as limited in size/scope as a printed encyclopedia, as stated somewhere in the WP namespace (a part of WP containing guidelines for editors). The folks there seem to be happy as long as we're notable (which Tank and Lucifer had shown), so I suppose it's fine.

Ok, let's go to it and make it less like an advertisement and more like a good wikipedia article. It's not up for deletion anymore, now it's tagged "Looks like an advertisement".
Also, an interesting essay that sheds some light on why it was up for deletion to begin with, including what might be an allusion to the whole situation (where the whole situation was essentially one overzealous fascist editor putting a bunch of software articles up for deletion, and ours happened to be one of them):

Make sure to read this one before you edit, though:
