Legit cheating in the ladle
Yeah, that bit was the one you got right
kenny: It doesn't matter. Soccer fans throwing junk at the playing field also probalby do it to give the less favored team a disadvantage, but it still counts only as disturbing the game.
See, now that this has become public, I guess Legit's reputation is pretty much ruined. Nobody is going to want him as a team member for a while. Now add to that
- what Luci says, that late punisment has no educational effect
- the insignificance of the crime
- the fact that there is no hard proof he really did anything, maybe he was just talking and pretending?
- the ineffectiveness of any punishmnet given that Legit can just reappear with a new name
What else can you reasonably expect? I'm not trying to talk it down or defend the two. But what I am saying is that how we treat this tells us pretty much about ourselves. No proof and no harm done means that no real world judge would find them guilty. So any collective punishment we may come up with would be mob justice. Are you a mob?

Feyenoord got a 12.500 euro fine for that, i think they found the guy who threw the beer and made him pay the fine or half of it or something.

Lack: I hope you see the differences betteen the case in the report and the case we have here. Especially concerning the for - points I made in my last post.
And there is another difference: UEFA has predefined rules, and I would assume the case was handled according to those rules. Those rules are basically the laws. While it is of course wrong to disturb a championship game, it is also wrong to judge without laws. /me avoids to repeat the mob question.
omega: me too, but that is not the point. The point is that even with all other doubts out of the way, there still is no proof.
Edit: wait, there could be. A ping charity change is broadcast to the attached clients when it reaches the server. I'll go check my clientside recordings.

Ok. The clientside recording shows Gothica tampered with his ping_charity right from the start of the SP-TuI match (around T=300 in the first recording session), and Legit set his at around T=700. Both messages arrive at the client at round starts, as expected. It's safe to assume the same was true on the server; they can't possibly have had the effect Gothica and Legit were hoping for.
As for that: note that it's TuI complaining about Lag (the usual kind of lag, I assume) and losing the round. I'd think that if the intention was to benefit TuI, and not just to cause general trouble, the two would have said something along the lines of "shit, that backfired". Wouldn't you?
Of course, this doesn't change the rest of my blabla.

My experience in the ladle is that any team that is losing has members that will complain and whine..Don't think I am pointing a single team out...SP as well as TuI were doing it when either were losing..TuI was just doing it more of course because they lost more. The same goes for previous ladles as well as any clan war I've been in. Nobody in this game really likes to admit defeat, that's how it is with any game, really.z-man wrote:Ok. Naw most of us cried lag...anyone crying lag is more than there should be, I'm just putting it in perspective.oO.k3nNy wrote:"everybody" was like only tui, exept maybe speed 1 or 2 times because he now and then has trouble with his isp.DDMJ wrote:IMO we didn't complain about lag except for maybe once or twice...as does everybody.
