speaking of programs to make map's a bit easier to make
i made a java applet for finding intersections here http://wiki.crazy-tronners.com/Intersection.html
i think he is talking about programs like that and http://generalconsumption.org/armagetronad/
just programs that make it a bit easier
i'm also going to make one for letters on the map; this will be done at the beginning of next year; i have not started on it yet.

armabell does work but it is just too buggy to use, at least in my opinion. i would much rather code much more acurite maps by hand.
i did not mention this before, but i want to try to make a java Applet with everything in it at some point in time. maybe after i get all my other applets for maps made. then i'll just have toe codes in them to combine to make one complete map making software.

As long as you know it's limitations (and save reguarly), for me, armabell by far the best tool for creating simple 4/8 axes map.-ct-kyle wrote:armabell does work but it is just too buggy to use.
I still use it for most of my maps, I could make them by hand, but they'd take me 5 time as long. Of course, you also need a text editor to tidy up the code afterward.
Unless I want to do something armabell is incapable of doing.
