I guess some of you also loved this game as kids and played it a ton with friends.

even if you didnt follow the competitive super smash brothers scene you might enjoy the documentary of one of the best games in esports.

well ok.
yesterday I had a quite normal ping in megafort around 100 but now its high again.

I tried to play with older versions of armagetron but I also had the pingproblem.

Unnormal ping in Megafort and Emphas sumo

The title pretty much says everything.
I'm eu and in the servers "Megafort Pro EU" and in Emphas sumo server I have a ping around 150-180.
I use the 0.4 version of arma and didnt try the older 2.8.3
Other EU server are normal -> ping around 60

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Its a good point, psy.
But in my opinion players shouldnt start with playing fortress.

I like the way how it is now.

In my opinion pickup isnt destroying fort and it also doesnt hold new players off because many of the players start playing with sumo and after they get used to the settings they feel confident enough to play in fort games. I like this situation more than fort games with new players on each side who...

I don't like the random holse size idea. Planned holes are a big part of today's competitive fortress and adding any luck to that would really just suck. yeah, you are right, I really forgot the 6vs6 or 9vs9 debate(s).

One thing to the random hole size: If we try this, we should really have just two or three different set sizes.
And one of the size should be 0, with the aim that planned holes in a 3vs1 situations get less attractive.
