Re: Ubuntu PPA, what to do with it

Hmm, instead adding the repository lines into sources.list and asking the keyserver for the key, Ubuntu users can just execute: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:armagetronad-dev It automagically adds correct lines depending on Ubuntu version one uses and gets the key (and maybe cares about the user in so...

That's the current testing config, right?
Yes.

If it worked in hardy and jaunty then I see no reason why I couldn't get that key....
I'll see if it isn't my system's problem (a bug in configuration etc.)

Re: Ubuntu PPA, what to do with it

I'm on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx. executing sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 98E6A0F3 wasn't successful: gpgkeys: key 98E6A0F3 not found on keyserver Unfortunately ;P And a minor issue: '0.2.8.3~ppa1' seems to be older than '0.2.8.3~rc4-1', dunno if it is meant to be so. (and by...

Re: Ubuntu PPA, what to do with it

I think there is a minor issue with the full names. One may think there are three versions to choose from: "Experimental", "Testing" and "Advanced", so which one is the basic, the normal one? I see two ways of solving it: a) all full names should include the word "Advanced" (like: "Armagetron Advanc...

While news are a real problem, I don't think if separating design from translations is a trouble. All the strings (in all languages) on the website can be included in a php file. Then, instead of writing them in html, we could trigger a php function that would return the string in selected language.

Multi-languaged website

Hello, The armagetronad.net website is in English only. As the game support multiple languages we should let the user to see the website in his language. See bugs 312252, 312254, 312255 and 312256. There all are about it! Luke-Jr suggested the site should automagically recognize browser's language a...

You should specify what's wrong exactly, there are different reasons for different problems. Does the moviepack not work property, or the game does not launch at all? Maybe you still see the old textures?

Mmmm... I'm new to Bazaar, and I've some trouble with it. I read on wiki about writeable branch, I read some Bazaar documentation, but I still don't understand anything. I guess I don't have enough access level to upload files. I have a local copy of this branch, but when I try to upload changes (th...

Done! Updated to the last version from repository. The .zip archive contains two files: polish.txt - full translation, but contains special chars, this one does not work property with current AA version, but when UTF will have been supported, it will be a recommended file. polish_nsc.txt - slightly ...

Good news!
I've done translated the alpha version from march, now I just need to update it to version from repository, and finally send it to friends to check for mistakes (and convert it to version with no special chars, dlh's command does not work well) . In few days time everything should be done!
